At the heart of Weleda is anthroposophy, a Greek word meaning "human wisdom", that stems from the teachings of philosopher Dr. Rudolph Steiner, who also developed biodynamic agriculture and the Waldorf education system. This philosophical movement encourages the individual to view the importance of his or her life in conjunction with the entire universe. The forces of our body, soul, and spirit are intrinsically connected, and they are closely related to the processes that occur in nature.
