Organic wool and silk long john pantsAt UrthChild, we are big believers in keeping kids warm. Woolens are a necessity, especially in colder climates and during the wintertime.
How does organic wool stack up against synthetics? Organic wool is hypo-allergenic, is breathable, keeps a child's skin dry, is naturally flame resistant, and doesn't need to be washed frequently. A winner in our book!
We recommend that you have 2 sets of long underwear on hand. Because woolens rarely need to be washed, your child can wear one of the woolens while the other woolen is airing out. You'll love having these woolens; they'll give you peace of mind that your child is cozy and warm.

The wool in this shirt comes from pure-bred merino sheep who are grazed on pesticide-free grass and treated homeopathically for optimal health and well-being. Once the wool is hand-sheared, it is not chemically treated, leaving it incredibly soft, soothing, and warm.
Because organic wool is naturally self-cleaning, these woolens are actually quite easy to care for. A good airing-out once in awhile is all organic wool needs. If the woolen does become soiled, we recommend hand washing or machine washing on a gentle cycle with
lanolin soap. Never put your woolen in the dryer because this will cause the shirt to shrink!
