The incredibly luxurious Fair Trade alpaca wool comes from Bolivian farmers who practice sustainable farming. A cooperative of 25 women in Bolivia who spin the wool into yarn, color the wool using low-impact and metal-free dyes, and knit the yarn into the Hug Me Sweaters. Each sweater is knitted from start to finish by one artisan. Oeuf maintains close relationships with their farmers and knitters, and work with community-based organizations to ensure that the workers not only earn living wages, but also have their cultural traditions honored and respected.

Oeuf's alpaca wool comes from farmers in Bolivia who follow sustainable farming practices. Their alpacas are not given pesticide treatments and are grazed on pesticide-free land. Although these farmers practice sustainable and organic agriculture, they are not certified organic.
Oeuf, pronounced UH-F, means "egg" in French.
